Many clients feel stuck in their past and uncertain about their future. They struggle to understand their patterns and may feel overwhelmed by the emotional baggage they’re carrying, unsure of how to move forward.

I combine Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Positive Psychology to help clients recognize their strengths, reframe their thinking, and take practical steps toward growth. My approach is collaborative—I walk alongside my clients as they work to get unstuck, develop insight, and blossom into their full potential.

My goal is to create a supportive, safe space where clients feel empowered to reflect, heal, and thrive, allowing them to achieve clarity and embrace their personal transformation with confidence.

Experience: I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a decade of experience in neuroscience research. As a 20 something myself, I understand the current pressures of what seems like needing to have it all figured out, the daily stressors of being inundated with excessive amounts of information leading to being overwhelmed and feeling behind, struggling with comparing self to others due to an increase in access to other’s lives, and the desire to have more for yourself while still being present and enjoying the moment, not to mention the many life transitions that have occurred including things such as moving, graduating school, changing friends, getting married (or feeling the need to find the one), starting a career, being new parents, etc.

As a therapist, I’ve learned to utilize evidence based practices and make it applicable to those current stressors to help individuals, including myself, appreciate their 20s, embrace the changes, live in the moment, while being intentional about the future to feel more secure in self.

Experience

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a graduate of THEE Jackson State University with a Masters of Social Work degree and a Bachelors in Psychology from Millsaps College. I have accumulated 5 years of experience working in Residential Treatment Centers, Intensive Outpatient Programs, and Telehealth Services providing individual and group therapy to adolescents and adults with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, substance abuse, mood disorders, and trauma. In my years of experience, I noticed a trend in which adolescents becoming young adults and young adults alike appeared to struggle with similar underlying conflicts that were contributing to their distress which is what led to me starting CoreWellness, LLC in hopes of bridging the gap.
